Iran Green filmfest's visual section inaugurated

Visual section of the 6th edition of the International Green Film Festival has been opened in Tehran.

Some 48 countries are competing at the visual section of this year’s edition of the event.

Works from China, Mexico, France, Russia and many other countries are to be displayed at this section of the festival.

The event's 2017 edition aims to highlight sustainable tourism in line with the UN’s World Tourism Organization that has named 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development.

As Iran’s sole environmental event on motion pictures, the fest was founded in 1999.

The 6th edition of the International Green Film Festival is underway from September 9th and scheduled to end on September 15, 2017, simultaneously in Tehran and some other Iranian cities.
